Kaseya launches autonomous IT management platform

Kaseya has launched what it calls the first agentic IT management platform, a system that aims to turn routine IT data into autonomous actions without human intervention.

How the platform differs from existing AI tools

Traditional IT management solutions typically gather data and then present recommendations for technicians to act on. The new platform, built on the Kaseya Intelligence engine, claims to go a step further by executing tasks such as ticket triage, threat containment, backup verification and workflow optimization automatically.

Kaseya says the key distinction lies in the breadth of data it integrates. It pulls together information from endpoints, help desks, security operations and backup infrastructure, then applies a single execution layer that can act across all those systems. According to the announcement, most competitors rely on AI that works with fragmented data sets, which often leads to inaccurate suggestions and added workload.

“The industry doesn’t need another AI feature bolted onto a disconnected tool,” said Rania Succar, chief executive officer of Kaseya. “What MSPs and IT teams need is a platform that runs their operations – one that sees across every system, understands context and acts autonomously.”

Key components introduced at Kaseya Connect Global

The rollout includes three major releases. First, Kaseya unveiled AI‑powered “Digital Specialists” that handle high‑volume tasks. The initial specialist focuses on ticket triage, automatically categorizing and routing tickets with claimed high accuracy.

Koos Ligtenberg, business unit director at Advisor ICT, noted that 20 % to 30 % of tickets are mis‑categorized today, leading to downstream issues such as billing errors. He added that early testing suggests the new digital specialist could cut those errors by up to 80 %.

Ticket Triage Digital Specialist is now generally available for Autotask Ultimate customers, and additional specialists for IT operations, cyber security and resilience will follow.

Second, Kaseya introduced a Unified Cyber Resilience Portal that consolidates on‑premises, SaaS, endpoint and cloud backup under a single interface. The portal provides AI‑driven screenshot verification with more than 99.9 % accuracy and includes compliance features such as FIPS capabilities and FedRAMP readiness.

Support for Azure Files is generally available, extending protection to file shares and unstructured data.

Potential impact and cautious outlook

If the platform delivers on its promises, managed service providers could see reduced ticket volumes and faster incident resolution, freeing staff to focus on higher‑value work.

However, the shift to autonomous action also raises concerns about oversight, especially when AI‑driven decisions affect critical systems. Organizations will likely need to establish monitoring safeguards to ensure that automated responses do not inadvertently disrupt services.

Kaseya reports that more than 100 new functionalities have been added in the last 90 days, suggesting a rapid development pace. The broader claim is that the industry is moving from tools that merely inform to platforms that act, a transition that could reshape how IT operations are staffed and managed.

Market reach and future plans

Kaseya states it serves over 40,000 managed service providers and small‑business customers worldwide. The firm positions itself as a global leader in AI‑powered IT management and cyber security software, emphasizing a unified technology platform that spans infrastructure management, endpoint security, data backup and operational streamlining.

Looking ahead, the company plans to embed its intelligence engine across additional modules, extending autonomous capabilities deeper into IT workflows. The website provides further details on the platform and its components.

Autonomous IT management is becoming a reality.
